In late November, AIS held a two-day auction in Henderson, NV, selling equipment surplus to the ongoing operations of TIMET, an industry leader in melt and mill products. This was AIS’ largest auction to date, regarding both number of lots and bidders. Over the two-day auction, AIS sold nearly 800 individual lots with more than 320 bidders. The auction was held online, with buyers from across the United States and Canada. These buyers included manufacturers, equipment users, dealers, and scrap buyers.

Even the company’s patriarchs, Les and Jerry Cohen along with their wives Sarell and Shirley, enjoyed the party via Skype projected onto a large screen. Angie was given accolades for her many years of service and friendship with the entire Cohen family. July 16, 2013 - American Equipment Company celebrated the 25th Anniversaries of two of its entrusted employees. Bob Perna and Christine Daros both joined the company back in July of 1988. A luncheon was held in their honor and was enjoyed by the entire company.
Alan Cohen, President of Aaron Equipment, honored Bob and Chrissy and enlightened the audience with trivia facts of popular cultural events that were mainstream 25 years ago. It was interesting to see how much has taken place within that time spam.

After the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy on the East Coast of the United States, communities in the northern suburbs of Illinois joined forces to donate batteries, blankets, cleaning supplies, coats, clothes, diapers, and shoes to the victims of the disaster. All supplies were donated by the families of Temple Beth-El in Northbrook, IL and Temple Jeremiah in Northfield, IL. Both students and their parents boxed and labeled items which were loaded into the donated semi-truck.

The gift will allow Rockwood School District’s organic chemistry students to not only enter an upcoming engineering competition but eventually be able to sell their biodiesel one day.

A transfer switch continuously monitors utility power and when it senses an interruption it sends a signal to start the generator, when the generator is up to the proper speed, Hz and voltage the transfer switch transfers the load to the generator to provide emergency power.

Just completed earlier this year, we installed a used Cummins 200kW backup generator set. Last summer we had a power outage over a 3 day period. With over 50 employees and no power we were basically out of business for those 3 days. No computers, no phone system, no air-conditioning, no lights etc. Imagine that happening to your business? Disc Centrifuges come in three basic designs. One is a Solid Bowl, which retains the solids on the inside diameter of the centrifuge bowl assembly. The solids are removed manually by hand. Generally they are used in applications with extremely low solids volumes in the feed stream since it is time consuming to remove the solids.

In the usage of a centrifuge you have two designs based on general physic rules. One design is based on filtration via spinning the feed material at a increased "G" force allowing the liquid phase to pass through a filter media leaving the dewatered solids on the filter media.
